Our Team

 

   Fritz Brauner

Fritz entered the financial services industry in 1980.  Fritz enjoys helping people make smart decisions about their money.  His primary focus is creating investment strategies to assist clients in reaching their financial goals.

Fritz grew up in Scarsdale, New York.  He graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. degree in Economics and received his MBA in Finance from Columbia University.

Prior to entering the financial services industry, Fritz spent 15 years working at the IBM Corporation in a variety of technical and management positions.

Fritz has served on the board of numerous non-profit organizations and enjoys giving back to the community.  Fritz was honored with a National Citation from the Arthritis Foundation for his efforts in that area.  Fritz is also a past-president of the Rotary Club of Burlingame and was the recipient of the Wade Newcomber award, given by Rotary in recognition of Fritz's community involvement.  Fritz recently served on the Board of Directors of the Silicon Valley chapter of the Financial Planning Association.

When not working, Fritz enjoys tennis, gardening, hiking, and traveling.  Fritz and his wife and business partner Sue live in Woodside with their three cats.

 

    Sue Brauner

Sue entered the financial services industry in 1985.  She enjoys helping women in financial transition, whether that be widows, divorcees or retirees.  She enjoys putting together a financial game plan and helping clients track to that plan.  Especially rewarding to Sue is watching the growth of her clients over the years as they become more knowledgeable and comfortable with their financial situation.         

Sue grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and graduated from Bucknell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics.  Sue was a Wisconsin and Regional swimming champion in her teenage years and trained with the men’s swim team in college.  In 1997, Sue was inducted into the Bucknell Athletic Hall of Fame for her accomplishments in women’s swimming.

Prior to entering the financial services industry, Sue spent eleven years with the IBM Corporation in a variety of technical positions.

Sue’s outside interests include travel, reading, and working out in the gym.  Sue’s fitness accomplishments were written up in two women’s fitness magazines.  Sue lives in Woodside with her husband and business partner Fritz and their three cats.

 

  Kim Nuessmann

Kim joined The Brauner Company in May 1994 and serves as the Client Service and Operations Manager.  In addition to working with her Team in the Client Service area, Kim handles special projects as they arise, such as website development and computer upgrades.  She enjoys developing relationships with clients and gaining their trust and confidence.  Kim has always taken care of our practice as if it were her own.  She takes great pride in providing a high level of service to all of our clients.

Prior to working for The Brauner Company, Kim spent eight years in the securities industry, the majority of that time spent working for two different brokerage firms.

Kim graduated from Hamtramck High School near Detroit Michigan and studied business at Saginaw Valley State College.

Kim moved to California in 1990 and lives with her husband Peter and son "little Peter" in San Carlos.

When Kim has time she enjoys walking, fishing, boating, reading and gardening.  She also enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.

 

    Sara Carr

 

 

Sara joined The Brauner Company in February, 2004 and serves as an administrative assistant to both Violet and Kim. She works on a part-time basis in our office. Sara's responsibilities have grown a lot since she joined our team. She began by handling filing and mailing tasks and is now responsible for preparing all paperwork and investment account valuation reports for our client appointments. 

 

Sara recently graduated from College of San Mateo with an Associate of Arts Degree in English and Liberal Studies.  She plans to continue her education at Notre Dame de Namur and looks forward to becoming an elementary school teacher.

 

 

When Sara isn't working at The Brauner Company or studying for school, she enjoys pursuing her hobbies of writing fantasy stories, reading, crocheting, wood carving, jewelry making and computer games. Sara lives at home with her family in Daly City.

 

 

  

 Violet Epstein

 

 

Violet joined The Brauner Company in November 2007 and serves as a Client Service Specialist. She responds to clients’ written and verbal inquiries and instructions regarding their investment accounts and provides prompt and accurate resolution. Violet also serves as our client events coordinator and schedules appointments on an ad hoc or annual basis with our clients.

 

Violet graduated from San Diego State University with a Social Services degree and studied Library Sciences at San Jose State University. She has worked in the financial services industry for over 22 years. Violet’s extensive experience was gained at an investment advisory firm, a bank trust department, and a mutual fund company handling trusts, qualified retirement plans and IRA accounts.

 

Violet lives with her husband Gary in Foster City and has a son currently living in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She loves movies, reading, and taking photos of sunsets from her deck overlooking the lagoon.
