Fritz Brauner: President

Fritz entered the financial services industry in 1980. He enjoys helping people make smart decisions about their money. His primary focus is creating investment strategies to assist clients in reaching their financial goals.

Fritz grew up in Scarsdale, New York. He graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. degree in Economics and received his MBA in Finance from Columbia University. He holds Securities Series 6, 7, 24, 63 and California Insurance licenses.

Prior to entering the financial services industry, Fritz spent 15 years working at the IBM Corporation in a variety of technical and management positions.

Fritz has served on the board of numerous non-profit organizations and enjoys giving back to the community. He was honored with a National Citation from the Arthritis Foundation for his efforts in that area. Fritz is also a past-president of the Rotary Club of Burlingame and was the recipient of the Wade Newcomber award, given by Rotary in recognition of Fritz's community involvement. Fritz recently served on the Board of Directors of the Silicon Valley chapter of the Financial Planning Association.

When not working, Fritz enjoys tennis, gardening, hiking, and traveling and is an accomplished photographer. The beautiful photographs on this site were taken by Fritz. He and his wife/business partner Sue have been married over thirty years. They live in Woodside with their three cats.

Sue Brauner: Vice President

Sue entered the financial services industry in 1985. She enjoys helping women in financial transition, particularly widows, divorcees or retirees. She enjoys putting together a financial game plan that helps clients in transition. She then helps clients track their progress and adhere to their plan.

Especially rewarding to Sue is watching the growth of her clients over the years as they become more knowledgeable and comfortable with their financial situation. Sue holds Securities Series 7, 24, 63, and California Insurance Licenses.

Sue grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and graduated from Bucknell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. She was a Wisconsin and Regional swimming champion in her teenage years and trained with the men's swim team in college. In 1997, Sue was inducted into the Bucknell Athletic Hall of Fame for her accomplishments in women's swimming.

Prior to entering the financial services industry, Sue spent eleven years with the IBM Corporation in a variety of technical positions.

Sue's outside interests include travel, reading, and working out in the gym. Her fitness accomplishments were written up in two women's fitness magazines. Sue and her husband/business partner, Fritz live in Woodside. In 2012, they will celebrate their 36th wedding anniversary.

Kim Nuessmann: Client Service and Operations Manager

Kim joined The Brauner Company in May 1994 and serves as the Client Service and Operations Manager. In addition to working with her Team in the Client Service area, Kim handles special projects as they arise, such as computer upgrades and software conversions.

Kim enjoys giving clients a warm welcome and developing lasting relationships with them. She quickly gains their trust and confidence and takes great pride in providing a high level of service to all of the firm's wonderful clients. Especially rewarding to Kim, is hearing clients say: "You take care of everything!"

Prior to working for The Brauner Company, Kim spent eight years in the securities industry, the majority of that time spent working for two different brokerage firms.

Kim grew up in Michigan and studied business at one of the state colleges. She moved to California in 1990 and lives with her husband and son in San Carlos. She and her husband, Peter will celebrate their 14th wedding anniversary in 2012.

When Kim has free time she enjoys running, boating, reading and gardening. She also enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.

Jim Brentano: Client Service

Jim joined The Brauner Company in June of 2010 and serves as a Senior Client Service Specialist. He is responsible for handling many of the client service questions and requests that arise on a daily basis. Jim has worked in the securities industry since 1979 and he has been licensed since 1996. Prior to joining The Brauner Company, Jim has worked at a large brokerage firm, specializing in various aspects of operations, first in a regional corporate office and later in branch offices as an Operations Manager.

Jim grew up in Connecticut, prior to relocating to California in 1975, where he graduated from Ygnacio Valley High School in Concord. Jim then attended Diablo Valley Junior College in Pleasant Hill and went on to study bookkeeping and accounting at Heald College in San Francisco.

Jim enjoys living in San Francisco and attending theater, symphony and opera performances when he is able to, as well as seeing new and classic movies.

Tatiane Saravia: Client Service Specialist

Tatiane joined The Brauner Company as a Client Service Specialist in November of 2011. Earlier that year, she graduated from San Francisco State with a Business degree concentrating in Financial Services and Accounting. Tatiane has always had a love for numbers and money, hence her desire to work in our industry. You will hear her warm friendly voice when you call The Brauner Company and we are thrilled to have her become a part of our team.

Tatiane was born in Brazil and moved to San Francisco when she was ten years old. She is fluent in English and Portuguese. Tatiane and her husband Jose live in Daly City. When they aren’t working, they enjoy going out to different restaurants and trying different foods, working out, and spending time with their families.
